Founded in 2012 by internationally renowned tattoo artist Ryback Anguitay — widely regarded as one of the best in the world in Asian art and Japanese tribal realism — Red Buddha was built on one promise: a clean, safe and welcoming home for serious tattoo work. Every artist is bloodborne-pathogen certified and registered with the Health Department, and we work exclusively with single-use disposable needles and tubes. From the original Balboa Peninsula shop in Newport Beach, the family has grown to three Southern California sanctuaries.
